Stainless steel has many advantages for parts that have to be solid, bright and sharp, and that must last and be in contact with food.

However, the name "stainless steel" covers many varieties of steel with very different characteristics. Controlling this field requires firstly an understanding of the " stainless " phenomenon.

ADIAMAS™ uses steels from three major stainless steel groups, according to the functions that the relevant product has to fulfil.
These three stainless steel groups are austenitic, ferritic and martensitic and according to their proper characteristics their fields of use vary according to the applications they are intended for.

It is interesting to note that, for martensitic stainless steels, the standards in force in the various geographic zones of the globe do not enable equivalents to be found easily; there is always some ambiguity.
